Welcome to our intervention database on interventions targeting child labor in the cocoa sector of Ghana!  We hope the data provided will be useful to all stakeholders concerned with the issue as it represents a collection of efforts on the part of government, private and non-governmental organizations to eliminate the Worst Forms of Child Labor (WFCL) in the cocoa growing areas of Ghana.

Click on a type of intervention above in the conceptual framework to learn more about what specifically organizations are doing.  Alternatively, query the database using specific questions that were answered by the respondents or consult the GIS maps to see where in the country the interventions are taking place.

This compilation of interventions does not capture everything stakeholders are doing relevant to child labor in the cocoa sector.  The aim of the database was to capture the main interventions directly targeting kids in the cocoa growing areas with a special focus on MitigationRemediationRehabilitationReinsertionEducation and Vocational Training.  In the process of carrying out the survey, we however also learned about other important interventions and investments organizations are carrying out relevant to the issue, which were included in the database.

Our hope is that this database will serve as a useful tool to all concerned.  Medase!
